For many people, coffee is the preferred morning beverage.  This demand has pushed some farmers to find other ways to grow and harvest the coffee crops faster.  To get the crops to grow at this rate will require fertilizers, which does more bad than good.  For this reason, some farmers are going back to growing organic coffee.

Organic coffee is nothing more than growing coffee without the use of fertilizers or other dangerous chemicals.  The coffee crops are grown with only letting water gives it nutrients and sunlight.

Organic coffee farming is not a big hit among farmers due to the high cost of operation, longer waiting time, and less crops.  To get farmer to start growing coffee crops organically, the government are stepping in and offering incentives.  However, it can take many years before the farm can be certified, but in the long run, it is beneficial for the environment and the health of the people.

Since the production time to grow and process coffee crops is much slower, organic coffee is more expensive than inorganic coffee.  For example, a 12oz bag of organic coffee is being sold at $12 so the customer can just imagine how much more it would cost to buy a larger size.

In many supermarket, organic coffee are usually found with inorganic coffee.  Organic coffee will have a seal certifying they are organic.  Most of the times, you can tell just by looking at the price because organic coffee will be cost much more than inorganic coffee.

Organic coffee are offered as caffeinated or decaffeinated.  There are many different flavors available also.  In most supermarket, you should be able to find a large selection of organic coffee.

If you are planning to purchase coffee in the near future, consider organic coffee.  You are not only benefiting your body by not allowing any dangerous chemicals into your body, but also helping preserve the environment.
