Coffee is the most popular beverage in the whole world. It is loved because of their rich aroma and distinct flavor with every cup. Many people may not realize that drinking coffee many bring some health benefits.
With coffee, there are always studies being conducted on what health benefits it has. Some studies have shown that coffee can help fight against some cancers. Within the coffee there are some anti-cancer properties. This finding gives enough evidence that people who drinks coffee regularly are 50 percent less likely to develop liver cancer. Other studies shows that coffee help lower the rates of breast, rectal, and colon cancer in coffee drinkers.
Other health benefits that coffee have is the development of diabetes. Some studies have shown that heavy coffee drinkers may have a 50 percent less chance of developing diabetes compared to light coffee drinkers. Coffee contains substances that helps lower blood sugar and help increase metabolism rate when coffee is consumed regularly.
There have also been some studies that shows coffee is able to protect men from developing Parkinson’s Disease. As for women, it doesn’t have the same effect and the reason may be on the difference of hormone production.
Drinking coffee on a regular basis helps increase mental alertness in people and help prolong their walking hours. For people who drive long distance, coffee can be a life-saver since on long trip, studies find that drivers who are sleepy have a higher risk of accident than a drunk driver do.
Although coffee have all these health benefits and more, but drinking too much coffee can also pose some health risks that include insomnia and increased incidence of irritability and anxiety.
