Cold Coffee

For many people, when it comes to coffee, the first thing that comes their mind is hot coffee.  While the majority of the coffee drinkers prefer hot coffee, there’s also another type of coffee available and it’s cold coffee.

In recent years, people begin to start looking for more exciting and satisfying coffee experiences.  This experience led to the development of cold coffee.  Cold coffee is nothing more than hot coffee being chilled down, either with whole ice or grind up ice.

As this new trend of coffee caught on, every coffee shop throughout the country started offering some type of cold coffee.  Every coffee shops have their own name for cold coffee and the only way to find out is to ask the sales associate when ordering.

As the popularity of cold coffee rise, studies are done on cold coffee and their benefits. One recent studies showed that cold coffee have a higher levels of concentration of caffeine than hot coffee.  With more caffeine, this can only mean that there are also more antioxidants in them too. And believe it or not, cold coffee is cheaper to make the hot coffee.

Making cold coffee at home is nothing more than adding ice to the hot coffee.  If you want to make a slushy type drink, purchase an ice grinder should do the job.  These days, with the newer refrigerator, some comes with a built-in ice grinder. It really doesn’t matter which one you use since the end result will be a nice cup of cold coffee.

The next time you stop at the coffee shop, try cold coffee for a change and you might just like it.  Cold coffee is an excellent beverage to drink on a hot day.  It will sure cool you down and make you feel good!
